Drawing Memory

Wool yarn is used symbolically in my early work. Retracing my childhood, I remember that my grandmother was always knitting and I wore the jumpers that she knitted. I feel the wool yarn leads me to inside myself like a plant’s vine leads to its root. Wool yarn is a storyteller, which connects every different episode over time and tells my personal history. Inspired by the wool yarn, I started ‘knitting’ glass into 3D shapes. These works are virtual storage of my memory.
